Sehr häufig in Puerto Rico. Er erährt sich von den Würmern in den Feldern und wird von den Puerto Ricanern auch als „Enfermera“ (Krankenschwester) bezeichnet, da er so die Pflanzen pflegt.

En: Cattle egret
Very common in Puerto Rico. It eats the worms in the field and therefore is called “enfermara” (nurse) by the Puerto Ricans, because in that way, the bird takes care of the plants.

Très commun au Puerto Rico. Il mange les vers dans les champs. Les Puerto Ricains l’appellenent « enfermera » parce qu’ainsi, il soigne les plantes.
